Weekend / weekday rates:

Full day 12 hours £150 / £120

Half day 5 hours £100 / £80

Evening hire 3 hours £75 / £60 

Weekend hire 3 days £300 (Pick up Fri after 5pm and return Sunday by 8pm)

Full week hire available on request.

£500 security deposit applies to all hires - we operate this by way of a card hold which is released in full on safe return of the horsebox.

Our standard times for pick up and drop off are 8am and 8pm for full day hires and 1pm drop off / pick up time for half day hires. Pick up and drop off outside these times is possible subject to advance agreement and availability. Early pick up / late drop off charges of £20 apply. 

Accidents can happen while loading and travelling your horse and we understand that. If you accidentally damage the box you need to inform us immediately.

Depending on the extent of the damage, extra charges may be incurred. 

We strongly recommend reviewing our hire terms and conditions regarding damage. Our goal is to ensure you have a positive hire experience, and we appreciate your honesty in reporting any issues.

To book with us please follow the steps noted below:

1. Check the horsebox is available on your required date(s), select the time slot and add to your cart

2. Add on any related services you require on the cart page and click checkout.

3. Fill in your details and check the box to confirm you’ve read the Terms and Conditions and understood the booking process.

4. Click to complete checkout and enter your payment information. Once your payment has been processed you will receive a booking request confirmation email.

5. Once we have processed your order we will send you an information request email. This includes a link to an insurance requirements checklist form, a document upload link and a copy of your Hire Agreement for review.

6. Fill in and submit the insurance form and upload your ID documents using the link provided. 

7. Following successful completion of your documentation checks you will receive a booking confirmation email from us. 

8. On or prior to your hire date we will authorise your card for the £500 security deposit. (This will be released in full on safe return of the horsebox.)

9. On the day of hire you need to bring your drivers license and sign a copy of the Hire Agreement which sets out your booking details and our hire Terms and Conditions. 

Yes, the age range is set for insurance purposes. We can accept drivers 25-75 years old who have at least two years driving experience.

A full copy of our terms and conditions and the detailed insurance requirements will be shared during the booking process. 

To have your booking request confirmed you will need to provide information to verify your identity, including two proof of address documents as well as a copy of your drivers licence and a DVLA check code. 

If you want to have more than one person driving the horsebox during the hire period this is subject to an additional fee of £10 and provision of the same documents as the main driver. 

Subject to availability and an additional fee of £20, we may be able to accommodate pick up the evening before if you have an early start. Get in touch with us to discuss. 

We can offer a local yard pick up and drop off service suto an additional fee. You can add it on as an extra service on the checkout page. Local yards to us include Oxenfoord, Mountskip, Stobs, Burnside, Temple and Edinburgh Equestrian. 

Yes to save you time we can offer the following as optional extras - just add them at the checkout: 

- Hay or haylage net prepared and tied up in the box (per horse) 

- Sorbeo bedding added to the horse area (per horse) 

- Local yard pick up and drop off 

- Provision of water bucket and filled water container 

- Provision of muck skip and poop scoop 

- Horse area cleaning service

Both the horsebox and any equipment provided are fully disinfected between hires. 

Early pick up / late drop off also available (these are subject to availability so we need to add this on to your booking manually - drop us an email to discuss)  

Yes, week long hires or hires up to 28 days can be accommodated. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements. 

Pick up and drop off is at EH38 postcode.

Alternatively we can drop off and pick up the horsebox at your own yard for an additional fee subject to availability. 

You can leave your car at our pick up/drop off location for the duration of your hire. Please note that any vehicles left are at your own risk. 

The horsebox is stalled for two horses/ponies and has a certified payload of 950kg with a full tank of fuel onboard. 

You are responsible for ensuring the horsebox is not overloaded in terms of weight at all times. You should therefore consider the combined weight of your horses/ponies plus people and equipment when deciding how many horses/ponies to travel and what to take with you. 

Ensure you have removed all your belongings and any rubbish from the cab and grooms area. Sweep out the grooms area. 

Remove all muck, bedding and hay from the horse area, hose down and sweep out any excess water unless you have purchased our optional horsebox cleaning service in which case you leave this part to us. 

Refuel the horsebox with diesel on your return journey ensuring that the tank is full. 

The horsebox is very easy to drive, however, to give you peace of mind and ensure that you and your horses have the best travel experience, we do recommend that anyone without prior experience of driving a similar box book a separate evening hire to familiarise yourself with the horsebox and get used to driving it without any horses inside.
